Gambit Communications Wins INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENT - GREEN APPLE AWARD, Second Year in a Row

Nashua, NH - September 2, 2009 -- Gambit Communications, a leading provider of network simulation tools, has been informed that they are among the major winners in the Green Apple Environment Awards. This is the second year in a row that Gambit will be presented with this prestigious award at the House of Commons, London.

Gambit has also been invited to join the National Green Heroes, an elite group of environmental achievers who use their experience to help thousands of others - and the environment - around the world. These plaques will be presented on board the Royal Yacht Britannia in February.

If announced as overall winners in the Green Apple Awards (announced when the trophies are presented) then Gambit will also receive a free spa holiday for two in Aquacity, Slovakia - the world's most environmentally-friendly resort.

"We are absolutely delighted to have achieved this prestigious international award twice," said Uwe Zimmermann, President of Gambit Communications. "We are committed to create networking software to help our customers transact business in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner. Our product, MIMIC Simulator, has been helping companies in saving the energy, decrease the carbon footprint, and dramatically reduce the IT equipment cost and space needed. We are very proud to be receiving the Green Apple Award in recognition of our efforts and look forward to our visit to the House of Commons in November to collect the trophy."

The use of MIMIC SNMP Simulator, Wireless Simulator, Cisco Simulator, Cable Modem Simulator and IPMI Simulator decreases the electricity requirements by 90%, reduces the current and future capital expense and removes the worry of recycling old electronic products or properly disposing of electronic waste such as lead and mercury.

The Green Apple Awards are now in their sixteenth year and attracted more than 500 nominations this year. They are organised by The Green Organisation, an independent, non-political, non-activist, non-profit environment group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world.
